Frequently Asked Questions
How can I protect myself from sun damage?
Using a sunscreen that has zinc as an ingredient as well as offering protection from UVA and UVB rays is your best bet. The number of the SPF factor has nothing to do with potency. In other words, SPF 45 isn't stronger than SPF 15. It means the time in which to reapply. As it only takes 10 minutes for the sun's rays to burn the skin, the factor is times 10. For SPF 30 it would mean 30 x's 10 = 300 minutes or 5 hours before reapplication.
How often do I need to come in for laser hair removal?
Hair grows in cycles, every 4 to 6 weeks. The hair that is seen and treated by the laser may fall out immediately or within a few days. Those hairs are gone, but the new hair will surface when the cycle is complete. At the very least, five treatments are necessary, more depending upon the individual.
What is unique about the Obagi Blue Peels?
Unlike alpha-hydroxy peels or other superficial procedures, the Obagi Blue Peel allows your doctor to control the depth of the peel and the number of coats applied in order to tailor the process to your skin's specific needs. The Obagi Blue Peel can even be performed on the neck, chest, hands, back, arms and legs.

& skin care questions
How can I eliminate age spots and/or sun damage?
We offer two methods of elimination to be determined by one of our qualified aestheticians. You may be a candidate for our Isolaz laser treatment, which will effectively reduce the pigmentation with recurring visits or the Obagi method of skincare products designed to change the skin's pigmentation at the cellular level.
How often should I receive a skincare treatment in a beauty clinic?
If it is reasonable, and of course, enjoyable, to regularly visit your aesthetician, there are no set rules concerning frequency. However, it is better to make an appointment at least once a month and follow the home care program that has been specially recommended for you. In times of stress, as well as physical and mental fatigue, you will undoubtedly require skincare treatments and expert advice on a more regular basis. In certain cases (such as a slimming treatment), your aesthetician will recommend more frequent treatment programs. Again, she will be able to advise you according to your own individual needs. And don't forget that we have developed different treatment programs that last 15 min., 35 min. and 1 hour or more, so that you may fully benefit from these highly privileged moments of pleasure and beauty-enhancement, which is, of course, of utter importance!
Why would I benefit from a Lymphatic Drainage Massage?
This is a special type of medical massage utilizing gentle and rhythmic movements that work with the lymphatic system to remove waste materials and excess fluids that are generally trapped in the deeper layer of the skin. The manual Lymphatic Drainage massage is the most effective massage for reducing swelling, boosting blood circulation and for any post-traumatic injury or surgery. It helps to speed up the healing time of injuries and helps to treat migraines, sinusitis and high blood pressure.
