The Original Micropeel

What’s old is new again! Welcome back Micropeel, featuring the Dermaplane manual exfoliation technique.

The original Micropeel is back at the Beaura Spa with the inclusion of the Dermaplane technique, a manual exfoliation procedure using a dermaplaning blade.

Micropeels are used to treat hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles associated with aging, as well as the improvement of dullness and skin imperfections in a series of 6 treatments every two weeks. The Micropeel procedure is a three-step process consisting of:

  1. Dermaplaning/Manual exfoliation (when applicable)
  2. Chemical exfoliation
  3. Cryogenic therapy

Whether the dermaplane blade for manual exfoliation can be or should be used (never in the case of skin lesions, active acne, or irritated skin conditions) is based on our trained aesthetic analysis.

Our highly qualified, trained aestheticians will assess the skin and choose the proper customized application of chemical exfoliate (glycolic and lactic acid for normal skin types; nicacin, lactic acid, and usnic acid on sensitive skin; and L-ascorbic acid with AHA acids for pigment balancing).

Lastly, cryotherapy (CO2 therapy)—which helps to remove oil, dirt, and debris—exfoliates dead skin cells from skin while smoothing the skin’s appearance.

This anti-aging treatment is not to be confused with Micropeel Plus, a one-step clinical procedure designed to control breakouts, while improving texture on patients with acne. This powerful peel is formulated with salicylic acid to refine pores and reduce acne irruptions and also features glycolic acid to aid in the improvement of rough texture, blotchiness, and uneven skin tone.
